Assignment #9: iPhone, eh?
One prize: a pair of the top-rated Panasonic RP-SC500 noise-canceling headphones. Suitable for living in a loud, crowded space and remaining completely oblivious.
Well it finally happened. The iPhone has arrived and Canadians have been catapulted into the future of mobile technology. A year behind most other countries, but catapulted none the less.
Rogers wireless is the company that holds exclusive distribution and service rights for the iPhone in Canada, which has brought a sea of mixed reactions.
Rogers has been criticized for its underwhelming advertising. When the iPhone was announced they had nothing on their website until a teaser appeared. AdHack member Brendan Wilson though the teaser was "lame."
Doesn't a great device deserve better? We think we can do better. Yeah — we know you can do better!
We call this challenge Assignment #9: Create the iPhone ad that Rogers should have used to launch and promote the iPhone in Canada.
You can praise it, you can hate on it. The choice is yours. Remember to tag your submission with "Assignment #9" when you upload!

To get you headed in the right direction, we've created some assets to get your creative fires burning. "Digital kindling," as James refers to it.
At the bottom of this post are two different versions of Rogers iPhone ads. Go crazy and use these, or make up your own from scratch. We have included versions with and without logos and text.
The font used is "Calibri". It's a free font that should be on your Mac or Windows platform by default. If it's not, go with some reliable friends — Arial or Helvetica.
Also, if you think you can't participate because you don't own image editing software, give your head a shake!
Don't have Photoshop? Head over to the AdHack Resources page and create your ad using one of the great free (!) tools. Be sure to check out The Gimp. An amazing program that gives Photoshop a run for its money. Especially since it's 100% free.
